Even though it is not entirely painted in red, this still life carries the symbolism of the painting. The red nuance provides it with vitality, while the image is actually a painterly experiment and, to an extent, an homage to geometric abstraction with some Neoplastic elements. The subject here is basically an excuse to paint a vivacious harmony of colour and shapes.
